I propose to describe laminar cortical organization, vertical cortical organization, intracortical interconnections, input-output cortical organization, morphological and physiological types of neurons, types of activities recorded from neocortex and major functions of neocortex. Since the subject is vast, the description will be brief with links to existing (ex: Thalamocortical oscillations, Thalamus, Bursting, Cortical Columns etc.) or further new (ex: Pyramidal Neuron, Intrinsic Firing Patterns etc.) chapters.
